Frequently Asked Questions

How do I use the income calculator?

Enter an income amount and select the time period it represents (year, month, week, day, or hour) on the calculator page. Results update instantly for all other periods. Switch between Calendar Year and Business Days mode depending on which assumptions fit your situation.

What's the difference between Calendar Year and Business Days mode?

Calendar Year divides income across all 365 days (24 hours/day, 7 days/week). Business Days uses 8-hour workdays, 5 days/week, and 260 working days/year. See How It Works for the full formulas.

Does this calculator include taxes or deductions?

No. This tool converts gross amounts between time periods only. It does not calculate take-home pay, tax withholding, benefits, or any deductions. For tax-specific questions, consult a qualified tax professional.

Can I enter any time period as the starting point?

Yes. Enter an hourly rate, daily rate, weekly pay, monthly salary, or annual income — the calculator converts from whichever period you choose.

Can I customize the work schedule assumptions?

Yes. Open Advanced Options to change hours per day, days per week, and weeks per year. This works for part-time schedules, 4-day weeks, or fewer billable weeks per year.

Is my data stored or sent anywhere?

No. Calculations run entirely in your browser. We do not receive, store, or transmit the numbers you enter. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Is this financial advice?

No. This is an informational conversion tool only. It is not financial, tax, or legal advice. Results are estimates based on the assumptions you select.

Is this calculator free?

Yes. Free to use, no account required.
